Live YouTube Webinar · Creating Aliveness in Work & Life

I’ve noticed that so many people are just trying to get through their work days by getting stuff done, checking off boxes, doing what we think we should do. And not just work, but most of our lives are like this! Either that, or we’re avoiding the dull, dreaded work we’re trying to force ourselves to do.

There’s another way: actually feeling alive while you do work, and in the rest of your life!

What if, instead of seeing how much you can get done … you changed the metric to “how alive did I feel” as I did my work and lived my life?

This month, I’m doing a YouTube live webinar to help people learn this skill. We’ll look at some practical techniques for how to feel more alive, no matter what you’re doing.

In this webinar, I’ll talk about:

  • Why we get stuck in just getting through our day: Understand how we make our lives feel very routine and forced, and drain our days of joy, and why we tend to do that.
  • The power of bringing aliveness to work and life: Learn what becomes possible if you infuse your day with aliveness, play, wonder and joy.
  • Practical ways to create aliveness in whatever you're doing: Explore some simple practices for bringing this sense of aliveness to each day.

Join me on Saturday, July 26 at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern for a powerful session. Bring your questions — I’d love to have you in the conversation.

If you’d like a reminder, click ‘Notify Me’ on the stream page so you don’t miss it!

Hope to see you there 🙂

We don’t often realize it, but we’re mostly living out a version of ourselves that we’ve decided to be a while ago. This isn’t a bad version, but it’s often stuck in outdated ideas about who we have to be. There’s also a version of you that already knows how to do the thing you’d like to do. It’s not about knowledge, or even being capable of it — it’s about how you see yourself. Who you’re being when you face the work — and who you need to be, for the purpose in front of you. This month’s...

I’ve been finding that most people work with goals in one of three ways: They avoid setting goals because of fear of failing, feeling inadequate, or feeling forced to stick to them out of obligation; They make goals but force themselves to stick to them, but doing it out of obligation or “have to” instead of feeling inspired; or They set some goals that they’re not really committed to, staying safe and letting themselves off the hook. These are all disempowered ways to work with goals. They...

We are all subject to self-doubt — the voice that tells us to stay safe and not risk looking like an idiot — and I’ve found that it keeps us stuck in our comfort zones. There’s nothing wrong with this … but I’ve found it powerful to shift to a self-trust and belief in yourself that helps you to grow beyond your current space of safety into new discoveries and growth. That said, this shift is not easy on our own — it helps to have support and community, and to bring some awareness to why we...
