Free Webinar · Why Your Productivity Habits Keep Failing (And How to Fix Them)

It can be a real struggle these days, in the over-stimulated environments we work in, to set clear intentions, stay focused and actually do work that creates an impact.

In the face of this, many of us are trying to build solid productivity habits… and a lot of the time, these efforts fail. Then we blame ourselves and lose trust in ourselves.

Why do we struggle to create good habits around focus and productivity? That’s the topic of my upcoming webinar, Why Your Productivity Habits Keep Failing (And How to Fix Them).

In this 90-minute session, I’ll talk about:

  • Vague intentions — and how they have us fuzzy on how to implement these habits
  • A hostile environment — how our lives are set up so that focus and staying on purpose are likely to fail
  • Fragile thinking — when we miss a day or two, our all-or-nothing mindset can have us give up too easily or struggle to get back on track
  • Suboptimal strategies — implementing new habits is not an intuitive thing, and most people have strategies that are doomed for failure
  • Motivation from “should” — keeping something going over the long term requires powerful motivation, which is the opposite of how most people motivate themselves

Join me on Saturday, November 22 at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern for this live session. Bring your questions — I’d love to have you in the conversation.

Hope to see you there!
— Leo

Often we get stuck in choosing what path to take — if you’re at a crossroads, or in the middle of a life transition, getting clarity and choosing can feel impossible. When the choices feel uncertain and complicated, and the future feels unclear … we can take “I don’t know” as the final answer, or run from the decision through distractions. But this leaves us stuck. There’s a more liberating way, and I’m going to share that in our June Fearless Living Academy workshop, called “The Practice of...

We don’t often realize it, but we’re mostly living out a version of ourselves that we’ve decided to be a while ago. This isn’t a bad version, but it’s often stuck in outdated ideas about who we have to be. There’s also a version of you that already knows how to do the thing you’d like to do. It’s not about knowledge, or even being capable of it — it’s about how you see yourself. Who you’re being when you face the work — and who you need to be, for the purpose in front of you. This month’s...

I’ve been finding that most people work with goals in one of three ways: They avoid setting goals because of fear of failing, feeling inadequate, or feeling forced to stick to them out of obligation; They make goals but force themselves to stick to them, but doing it out of obligation or “have to” instead of feeling inspired; or They set some goals that they’re not really committed to, staying safe and letting themselves off the hook. These are all disempowered ways to work with goals. They...
